  • Beneficiary Account Number: Beneficiary Accounts with Standard Bank of South Africa (SBZAZAJJ) should follow a9-digit format for resident accounts and 11-digit formats for non-resident accounts.

  • Beneficiary Bank BIC/SWIFT: 8 or 11 characters.

  • Beneficiary Bank Routing Code: 6-digit

  • Purpose of Payment

Possible Purpose: Advertising Fees, Expense Reimbursement, Financial Services, Legal Services, Medical Reimbursement, Payroll, Processing, Trade Related Services, Transaction between Banks, Transportation Costs, Travel Related Services, Personal, Other.

  • Reference: Monix allows you to submit maximum 50 characters for reference, but the length shown is depend on the beneficiary bank.


♦  ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:

OMIPAY must have both the SWIFT code and routing code for ZAR payments to South Africa.

If the 6 digit routing code was not provided, the routing code of the beneficiary bank head office should be selected. The beneficiary’s bank may require the beneficiary to contact them to complete regulatory paperwork.
